Chiswick CC - Training on Sunday 18th April

Dear Parents and Carers,

Many thanks for your continued support (and patience!) as we begin to further open up for our summer season of cricket. If you have not yet registered and paid for the summer season, please do so using the following link to our Pitchero website:

Chiswick Cricket club dragons

Parents will need to join as members first, then can register players by clicking on ‘manage roles’ then ‘add child’. Please do ensure that then all fields are completed for each child – it is vital that we have this information, in particular emergency contact details.

We do appreciate that some of the winter sports such as football, rugby and hockey, have continued into the summer to make up for sessions missed during lockdown, but this does not mean that you are too late to join us! We are keen to have as many players as possible enjoying cricket this summer so please do sign up.

Parents and spectators are now able to stay at the ground so we will be able to open for everyone to take part in training from next Sunday. As mentioned in my previous email, necessary precautions are still in place to ensure we keep our club, and all its members, safe. This includes using Track and Trace and social distancing.

From Sunday 18th April training will be as follows:

U7s-U11s (all Primary aged children) 9 – 10:30am

U12s upwards (all Secondary aged children) 10:45am – 12:30pm

Sessions will run promptly so the gate will open at 8:45am for the first session and will be closed again at 9:05am so please do make sure you arrive on time.

Parents of all children in U9s (Year 4) and below must stay on site for the duration of the session.

ARRIVAL

· When you arrive, you must enter the cricket pitch to the left of the car park (nearest Kings House grounds) where you must scan in using the NHS Track and Trace App

· All players must be signed in on the register – a table will be placed near this entrance to the ground

· Players will then need to wait to be directed by their coach to their training group

DURING THE SESSION

· Players should be dressed appropriately for playing sport – whites are not necessary for training sessions

· Players should bring all their own equipment as far as possible; those in U10s upwards will need to bring their own ball and those wanting to play in the hard ball matches should now bring their own helmet, pads, gloves and abdo guard (box) so that they can take part in hard ball practice

· All players will need a water bottle, hand sanitiser (and a cap when the weather gets warmer)

· There are toilet facilities for the players only

· The Pavilion will not be opening until 11am so parents at the earlier session will need to bring their own refreshments -please do make sure that you take all your rubbish away with you

DEPARTURE

We ask that you leave the ground promptly at the end of training as there are other training sessions taking place throughout the day

NETS TRAINING

Once you have paid for your season membership, you can make use of the facilities at the ground, including the nets, when they are available.

To book the nets, you can either login in to our Pitchero website or use the Pitchero app, and use the calendar tab. Click on ‘net bookings’ for the time you would like, mark yourself available, then use the ‘add notes’ to specify the time you are booking the nets.

Once again, thank you all for supporting Chiswick Cricket Club – we are so delighted to be able to welcome all age groups back to the ground and look forward to meeting you all at the club in the coming weeks.
