Thanks to everyone who came to the club Senior Awards Night on Friday. It was a great way to round off the season, and I hope was an enjoyable evening for everyone there.

Thanks to everyone who donated items for the raffle and auction, and to everyone who bought tickets or bid. We’re still calculating the figures, but we have made a good profit for the club – and started making a dent in our fundraising ambitions for the pitch and nets project at Chiswick House. Ian Moore spoke about this at the event and there will be a Crowdfunder launched shortly, but this was a good start.

Thanks also to Jim, Leonora, Sharon and the bar team for the evening running so smoothly and enjoyably, and to Carlo for ‘the best pizzas in London’. And thanks to everyone else involved in the organisation of the event.

We were very pleased to welcome representatives of our club sponsors to the night, and they – alongside club President Carl Bryce – helped hand out the overall club awards as follows:

We were also pleased to revive the Alternative Awards, as made by Dave ‘Mad Dog’ Phillips, celebrating the less obvious byways of club success.

The next date for your diary is the club AGM on 13 November at the club – looking forward to seeing a good turnout there.
