A brief report tonight live from Hollywood Bowl in Poole in Dorset, which is kind of a vision of hell.
Yesterday saw our traditional quadruple-header against Actonians. The 1s lost by 4 wickets, having made 189. The other 3 teams won. The 2s did so convincingly, 50s for James Marsh and Simon Miss, followed by 4 wickets for Jim Yorath. The 3s made 217. Chris Morris 97, Michael Whyard 48. Bowled Actonians out for around 125. 4s was a bit closer, but they got home by 3 wickets, Will Clarke taking 4-30.
No news has yet reached me of the Sunday side.
In the week the juniors kicked off with an excellent win for the U10s - the U13s, U15s and U19s all lost, but good to get the junior season underway.
The league programme starts next Saturday. We have 5 fixtures, plus a game on Sunday so please get your availabilities into Pitchero before Tuesday.
I’ll be back on home turf next week, assuming I make it out of here in one piece. The Dorset youths look a bit handy.
