More news and scores

Another lovely weekend of weather – surely the Jubilee will bring that to an end!

On Saturday the 1s lost to London Tigers – Matt Tomes-Smith taking 4-35. The 2s beat Headstone Manor comfortably by 6 wickets, Nav Malik scoring 43 as we chased down their 98 all out.

The 3s lost to Old Isleworthians, but there was a career best 72 by Joe Gilmour, a good reply to his brother’s performance last week. The 4s beat MTSSC thanks to Charlie Harris taking 5-41 and runs for Dino Antoniades (52) and Haseeb Shahid (43).

The 5s nearly pulled off a miracle. After posting a ‘disappointing’ 53 we still nearly won, SKLPC limping home 8 down in a thrilling finish. 3 wickets on debut for George Wilson.

There was another close game today. The Sunday side put up a decent 206-4, with Tom Dyson hitting 40* and Mike Redfern 37. They squeaked home by 1 wicket with 2 balls left, thanks to some unfortunate umpiring. Which does mean that the Chairman has played six games this season and lost all six, which might make for interesting discussions in selection this week.

The juniors had a similar nailbiter on Thursday, which fortunately this time we came out on the right side of. Our U11s beat South Hampstead, scoring the winning run on the last ball of the game. A brilliant 56* by Kian Suri led the way – he is having a fantastic season. Earlier in the week the U10s lost to a less than hospitable Ealing.

Subs are now overdue and there are still many people who haven’t paid. At the end of May the rate goes up so please pay up this week.if you haven’t yet. Please pay here then I can drop this boring paragraph from the email.

A reminder about training on Tuesday (1s and 2s) and Thursday (club training). And get your availabilities into Pitchero asap, and ahead of Tuesday selection if you want to be considered.

Thanks to everyone who has represented the club this weekend.

Bernard
