The weekend's scores and results

Happy Jubilee weekend one and all. Your Chairman spent Saturday enjoying an exciting day at Lords, meanwhile at the coalface we registered 4 wins out of 5 for the second consecutive week – while the full house continues to elude us.

The 1s lost to Stoke Newington, Alex KP leading the charge with 68, but our 175 wasn’t enough. The 2s beat Actonians, bowling them out for 209 and chasing comfortably for 4 down, Julian Cosby continuing his good form with 59.

The 3s continued their good run, which has lifted them to second in the table. They bowled out Wycombe House for 148, Jack Stansfield returning an amazing 5-12. We got them for only 2, Chris Morris also continuing his fine form with 84 as we won with 15 overs to spare.

The 4s won by concession, which is points in the bank but we’d much rather have played. Meanwhile the 5s won their second on the bounce, despite the unusual tactics of Ealing of sending us to the wrong ground. We piled up 223-5, Fahd Baig making 48* and Tim Soper 40. We then saw them off for 142.

The Sunday home side were chasing 195 at HQ and managed a valiant 176-6 (53 to the Chairman, Tom Dyson 44 and Sam Freeman 41). The Sunday away side won comfortably, bowling out Teddington for 108 (Karthik 4-19) and getting them for 1 down, Zach Fry continuing his run-fest with 71*. Great that we could get two teams out today, and– thanks as ever to Cliff Sykes for his efforts on behalf of Sunday cricket.

Have a good week everyone.
Bernard
