The good news: turns out whenever I'm in Costa Rica we do really well.
The bad news: I'm back on Wednesday.
We didn't quite manage to repeat the Green Sweep of last week, but did manage 4 wins out of 5, with the 5s the only team missing out, losing the last wicket with 6 balls left, batting out for a draw.
There were lots of good performances: a ton for Curran Bains in the 1s, also 50 for Alex Kirkpatrick and 5 wickets for Leith Cowie. In the 2s - now 3rd in the table with 5 wins on the trot - 4-37 to Tim Benson and 60 to Julian Cosby. 3s had 73 for Michael Whyard, 68 for Ayush and 5 more wickets for Karthik. The 4s stay top with their 5th win in a row, Dino Antoniades making 53*. In the 5s skipper Mad Dog Dave Philips took 5 and made 37 in the losing cause.
Today the home side lost - Zach Fry 46 and Alex KP 44 but Star of the day was Glayson Baptiste returning to form with 110* at Bagshot.
Earlier in the week the T20 ended a disappointing campaign with defeat - Angad 48 - and the U19s lost on Friday.
Well played everyone and particular congratulations to this week's centurions.
cheers, Bernard
