If 2021 is the year of "staycations" then 2022 will be the year for travelling overseas...and what better place to go than Grenada for what will be our 2nd time touring the West Indies.

It's such a good idea that even the England test match team will be in the West Indies in March 2022 for 3 matches, venues tbc, but the first test starts on 8th March - I personally am hoping it's Barbados as that's where I'll be heading after tour.

Given the special destination, we have opted to run the tour over one week so you can either just do that or extend your stay with a holiday either side of tour. If you just did tour it would be 7 nights from Sat 26 February, arriving back in London early Sun 6th March and should cost about £1,000 for flights, accommodation and tour expenses. You will need to budget for your own personal spending, but food & drinks are cheaper than London...

Itinerary is:

Sat 26 Feb - Flight departs from Gatwick at 10am, arriving in Grenada about tea time - perfect to freshen up and have welcome food and drinks

Sun 27 Feb - Day of leisure to acclimatise and take in local tourism or relax on the beach

Mon 28 Feb - Match day 1, fixture and start time tbc

Tue 1 Mar - Match day 2, fixture and start time tbc

Wed 2 Mar - Day of leisure to enjoy more local tourism or relax on the beach

Thur 3 Mar - Match day 3, fixture and start time tbc

Fri 4 Mar - Match day 4, fixture and start time tbc, followed by end of tour dinner and presentations

Sat 5 Mar - Depart Grenada and arrive back in London on Sun 6th

Given our rich heritage of Grenadan club members, this tour promises to be truly fantastic with excellent fixtures and proper local hospitality!

Accommodation:

We have arranged for apartments for the 'playing tour party' so we have a nucleus in one place and to keep costs down, however please let me know if you would like help and advice with family accommodation from our local experts.

Deposit:

To book your place please email me directly and I will arrange for a deposit option to be done through Pitchero in due course. This deposit means you are in and I can arrange for personalised club tour match and polo shirts and also goes towards other expenses on tour.

Most importantly, I would recommend booking your flights ASAP and let me know your flight details, as this definitely confirms you are in. Flights are currently around £600 with BA in and out of Gatwick for Sat to Sat and have Covid flexibility included, however prices may rise when the England Cricket fixture venues are announced in the next few days/weeks. I don't think Grenada will have a test match, but more due to people booking holidays to the West Indies in general might impact other flight prices.
